How do the Laundry Balls work?
Activated molecules (ionised oxygen) are released during the wash; these
molecules will raise the pH level of the water and soften the water and
fabric. This allows for the movement of water in the machine to penetrate
the fabric and lift the soil.

What are the ingredients ?
The Miracle Wash Pellets do not contain Petrochemicals,
Boron, SLS, Colouring, Animal derivatives or Toxic chemicals that are
harmful to your health or environment. They are made up of Biodegradable,
Environmentally Safe Surfactant, Laureth-9, sodium silicate, sodium
carbonate,cellulose.

Does it clean well?
It is just as good as any environmentally friendly product on the market. It
does not contain bleach or whiteners so don’t expect luminous whites. If you
have stains the Multi Purpose Stain Remover can be applied. You can also pre
soak the clothes with the balls in a bucket first.
I have allergies and eczema, can I use it?
It is hypo-allergenic and safe to use for sensitive skin. It has been
approved by Action Against Allergies in the UK. 3 of my 4 children get
eczema and two have allergies and I have not had any problems since changing
to the Miracle Wash System. The main reason I use this product is for my
children’s skin problems – the money and time saving is an added bonus!!

Can I wash nappies and baby clothes?
It is perfectly safe for baby clothes and sensitive baby skin. Nappies can
be soaked over night with the balls or in the Stain Remover if heavily
soiled. The mineral pellets change the water molecules to soften the clothes
and change the water acidity to more alkaline (bacterial doesn't grow in
alkaline conditions).
How long will they last?
Estimated 1100 times of washing or 3 year for usage once/day.
If you use cold water, they will last longer than warm/hot water.
The plastic moulds will last for years.
If I use them during the rinse cycle will it cost
more?
No, the price per wash includes the rinse cycle. If you can turn the rinse
cycle off on your machine, the pellets will last longer and save you more
money, as well as saving water.

What if I can’t turn off my rinse cycle?
That is ok, as the pellets inside do not contain any fillers, builders or
any chemical that leaves a build up in the fabric, there is nothing to rinse
off. Turning your rinse cycle off will save you water and electricity but it
is not necessary if your machine can’t.

Can I use the Laundry Balls in my front loader?
Yes, absolutely.
Avoid using temperatures higher than 60 degrees when washing with the
laundry balls. Constant use of hot water could cause the balls to split.

Is it safe for woollens?
Yes, hand wash as you would normally.

Is it safe for delicates?
It is recommended to hand wash all your delicates and expensive clothes by
soaking clothing with the balls in a bucket of water. You can put your
delicates in a laundry bag and wash in a washing machine but if a top is
very precious, expensive or delicate, please HAND WASH ONLY. Washing
machines can be very rough on delicate clothes, especially top loaders.
Can I use fabric softener?
Yes, but the Miracle Wash balls increase the pH level of the water, which
naturally softens the clothes so you don’t need to use a fabric softener. Be
aware that most fabric softeners contain toxic chemicals. We breathe the
aromatic molecules in the air near the clothes or absorb them through the
skin via direct contact with the clothes (which, by design, retain some of
the fabric softener molecules).
If you must use Fabric Softener, please use an environmentally safe
product like Tri Nature’s ‘Angelica’.
I use a small, diluted amount to add subtle fragrance when the clothes
are very smelly – like bed wetting.
A natural fabric softener is white vinegar, just add ½ cup of white
vinegar to the wash cycle.
Can I hand wash?
Just pre-soak the balls in a bucket of water for 10 – 20 minutes and then
wash.

Are they Biodegradable?
Yes, absolutely.

Can I re-use the water?
Yes, the Miracle Wash System will not pollute rivers or water ways and
contains no harsh chemicals so it can be used to water your plants.
How do I get the stains out?
The pellets are an environmental and toxic free formula and so they do not
contain the harsh chemicals that removes grease and ground in dirt.
In the kit is a "Phosphate Free" Stain Remover. You can use this paste
directly on the stain or you can soak the clothes in a bucket of water with
10cms of paste over night (mix well)
I recommend mixing up 10cm of the paste to 400-500mls of water in a 500ml
water spray bottle. Shake and leave overnight then use this as your pre
treatment for stains - much easier and works well.
Some tough stains may need a repeat treatment.

How do I keep my white’s “white”?
The Miracle Wash Laundry Balls do not contain bleach or whitening optimisers,
so over time the whites may look a little dull.
Here are some tips to help keep them white:
- Always separate colours from whites as some of the dye from the
colours can run into the white making them a grey colour. Coles has a
product called “Colour Catches”, they are fabric sheets that absorb dye
so it doesn’t run into your whites.
- Soak your whites together in a bucket with ½ cup Bi carb soda,
wring and hang out in the sun – don’t rinse because the bicarb and sun
will help naturally keeps the clothes whiter.
- Hang in the sun, over winter or if a dryer is used, whites will grey
because they are not in direct sunlight.
- You can soak the whites in a bucket and use a small amount of Oxygen
Bleach (Miracle Wash will soon have one out), make sure you rinse well
to remover any residue.

How do I get a cleaner wash?
For tough stains and grease, use the method above
- The balls work a bit more efficiently in warm water rather than
cold, so put all your very dirty clothes together and use warm water.
- Make sure the laundry balls are in the water for at least 30
minutes, if you have a shorter cycle, fill up your machine and soak the
laundry balls with the clothes and water in the washing machine for 1/2
before washing as usual (or overnight is better).
- They need at least 20 minutes to change the pH of the water which is
what opens the fabric to clean out the dirt. Use this soaking overnight
method on very dirty clothes too
- Make sure you are using 2 balls for loads over 3kg.
- Make sure there are still pellets inside the ball - it might be time
to refill.
- Do not overload your machine. The balls need room to move in the
machine.

Are they safe for my septic system?
Yes, they do not contain toxic chemicals and the alkaline pH will help
reduce bacteria. They do not contain added anti bacterial agents, the
minerals have natural anti bacterial properties.
How do I use the Laundry Balls?
There are full instructions in the kit.

How do I Clean my Washing Machine?
The laundry balls work at removing dirt from clothes and also removes the
build up of dirt in your washing machine. Over time the builders and
fillers, residue from powders and dirt build up in the washing machine and
around the drum, the laundry balls will clean this but will deposit it on
your clothes so you need to clean your washing machine each time you change
your refills. This is what to do….

Instructions:
Add ½ cup bicarb soda and ½ cup white vinegar into an empty hot wash cycle.
Clean the seals and filters, and pour bicarb and vinegar down the detergent
and fabric softener dispensers to clean the pipes.
Do this at least once every 6 months (when you change your pellets)
If grey stains appear on clothes, that’s an interaction that the washing
machine needs to be cleaned.
